This super fun best friend shoot was organized by Martha Valdovinos! I asked Martha to write about her inspiration for the shoot, and she killed it:

“The inspiration behind this photoshoot goes a little bit deeper than you would expect!
For this shoot I knew I wanted to put together something using “real,” everyday women who don’t often get to model or get their hair and makeup professionally done. There is something so empowering about this kind of experience that really makes you feel like you are worthy and beautiful; like you can conquer anything. I wanted to share that with someone who would really enjoy it and appreciate it.
This started as a simple shoot where we would have the models wear amazing shirts from Be Still Clothing Company. That was it, really. However, during the time that I was getting the shoot together I was actually going through a very difficult time in my marriage. It was at times hard to concentrate on work and photoshoots with my mind buzzing with my personal life. I have to say, though, in situations like those it is really amazing to have great friends who support you and love you through and through.
So, the models we ended up using for the shoot, those two gorgeous sisters with smiles that light up a room? They are actually two of my very best friends and two of the biggest supporters I’ve had during tough times (including those difficult days in my marriage). I would have been a huge mess had they not been there for me! I loved that I could celebrate them with this cute shoot!
Once I had my theme and muses I had to find some amazing photographers! This was probably the easiest part of the planning process because I had been wanting to work with Sam for so long, I was glad I finally had a project to share with her! The photoshoot took place in my very own backyard and Jasmin from Decor with Amor made my vision come to life with her styling skills. She used my own coffee table that my husband made! It looked like a set for a magazine shoot.
I absolutely LOVE how Sam captured the sisterly love between Anna and Abi. It made it all worthwhile. So, ladies and gents! If you have an amazing best friend or friends, celebrate them with a photoshoot! Its just as fun as it looks.”
