This last minute Salt River couples’ session was fully inspired by Melissa of Moelleux Events! Melissa had some extra flowers that she didn’t want to go to waste, so she threw together a gorgeous, bright, colorful bouquet and headpiece.

Kailee and Garrett are wonderful friends of mine, and thankfully they agreed to spend a fun evening modeling. They made those flowers look goooood! ????

We headed to the Salt River in Mesa, Arizona to a spot I had never been before. This impromptu session was the perfect occasion to practice and try new things, and I loved being able to have that opportunity.

We even pulled out a few orange smoke bombs! I’m so happy that they matched Melissa’s flowers perfectly! Years ago, my mom tried to order me an assortment of colored smoke bombs for Christmas. Ten smoke bombs did get delivered – but they were accidentally ALL ORANGE! And really, how often does the need for an orange smoke bomb arise? Their time finally came as we finished the last of the orange smoke bombs during the shoot. They were the perfect addition!
