Paige grew up in Prescott, AZ, making it the perfect place for her and Kyle’s Groom Creek Schoolhouse Wedding!

Paige and Kyle’s intimate midday ceremony was in the middle of the Prescott National Forest. They got ready in the cute schoolhouse, in adjoining rooms. Kelly, (Paige’s sister, maid of honor, and my roommate!), did Paige’s hair and makeup creating a chill and relaxed vibe while the girls got ready.

As a surprise to everyone but the bridal party, they kept their officiant a secret until the last second. Once everyone had walked down the aisle, and all the guests were still standing, confused, Kelly snuck behind the alter and pulled on a blazer. Then, she stood in the officiant’s spot and started the ceremony. All the guests were shocked, and the parents cried. I cried. It was the perfect lil’ surprise.

Every single detail you’ll see is handmade by Paige! Everyone helped set up the ceremony and reception spaces, making this day the best DIY wedding I’ve ever seen. Plus side to having the reception in your parent’s backyard: getting to set up everything the day beforehand!
